As for today, I'd like to talk about my music addictions. I'm sure it's become a fair statement that I for one, have the tendency to fall in love with great music very fast. It may be a genre that I've never came across with or a band that I've never heard of, if its good, it'll be my new it thing, my new obsession, my new lust.
About 2 weeks ago, I stumbled upon this British band called Thenewno2. Yes, the spellings are like that. No spacing needed. Their genre is Alternative rock, Electronic rock, Indie rock, Psychedelic rock, Art rock, also Neo-psychedelia. Quite exquisite genres huh. The lead singer, is non other than Dhani Harrison. Yes, he is the biological son of the great George Harrison. "Shocking". I truly believe that a great person would make an even better one out of their child. Thus, Dhani. He has a splitting image of his father. The voice sounds quite similar also, but I love George's son's genres better I think. I fell in love with their song Make It Home and started to download the rest soon after. They're great, really.
Three days ago, I who rarely listen to the radio, fortunately did on that day, heard a very catchy 90s kind of song. Its electronic and yet very groovy and settle. Not like Skrillex which I truly hate. I just don't see the point of it. This band, is quite different. A new genre for myself. Its, yes you guessed it! Daft Punk! I just love Get Lucky. Of course, a must to search for their other songs, then I found one featuring Jullian Casablancas from The Strokes //of course I didn't have to tell you that// Anyway, they collaborated! Love doesn't even begin to describe it. I'd go nuts every time that song plays. Its, Instant Crush. Jullian's voice, damn. With the beats and mash-ups aghh. Love it.
So, for now my latest and newest addition to my list of favourites is Thenewno2 and also Daft Punk. They can now join my other 6 favorite musicians. Awesome
